Founded in 2023, Qwake Bar Bakes is a family-owned and operated bakery that specializes in delicious and ​creative dessert bars. Elizabeth Siegel, co-founder and head baker of Qwake Bar Bakes, has a love for baking ​that began at a young age while spending time with her mother in the kitchen creating deliciously beautiful ​baked goods for their family. This love quickly became a passion as she learned all of her mother's secrets and ​explored her baking journey. Elizabeth studied pastry arts through Boston University and worked in several ​renowned bakeries before opening her shop in 2023. Elizabeth loves to experiment with new flavors and ​recipes and is always trying to learn something new to bring to her baked goods. She believes that baking is an ​art and an act of love, which she shares with her customers. Elizabeth lives in Grand Rapids with her husband ​and their daughter, who are her taste testers and biggest fans.
